I never thought a mobile gacha game would become my life’s most elegant experiment in human-centered design.
As a UX Lead at Ubisoft London, I spent years optimizing interfaces for global audiences—especially women players who were told they “just got lucky.” But real magic? It’s in the rhythm of choice. Not chance.
I started as a “candy pig”—clicking randomly, chasing high payouts like a child with too much sugar. Then I learned: every spin is a micro-decision. The “lucky” isn’t in the algorithm—it’s in your pause before tapping.
My breakthrough came when I treated the casino interface not as a slot machine, but as an emotional ritual—a digital meadow where every button holds warmth. I redesigned my daily play: 20 minutes max, low stakes, no pressure. Win or lose? Doesn’t matter. What matters is whether you felt the sugar glow.
